Story Homes Raises More Than £12,500 for Air Ambulance Charities Across the North

Three regional golf days bring colleagues and supply chain partners together to support Great North Air Ambulance Service and North West Air Ambulance Charity.

October 2026 – More than £12,500 has been raised for two air ambulance charities through Story Homes’ annual corporate golf days, with funds supporting the life-saving work of Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) and North West Air Ambulance Charity (NWAA).

Held across Cumbria, the North East and the North West, the three events brought together colleagues, subcontractors and business partners to raise funds for Story Homes’ 2026/27 charity partners.

Team entries, hole sponsorships and raffle prizes donated by supply chain partners all contributed to the fundraising total, demonstrating the role that Story Homes’ wider network can play in supporting causes that make a difference across the regions where it operates.

The golf days form part of Story Homes’ wider annual fundraising programme, which sees colleagues vote each year for the charity partners they want to support through company and employee-led activities.

For 2026/27, colleagues selected GNAAS and NWAA in recognition of the vital services they provide to communities across the North of England.

Hayley Blair, Cumbria & Scotland Operations Director at Story Homes, said:

“Our golf days bring colleagues, subcontractors and business partners together around a shared purpose: raising funds for charities that make a real difference in our regions.

“Raising more than £12,500 is a fantastic result, made possible by the generosity of everyone who took part, sponsored a hole or donated a prize. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make the events a success and support the work of both charities.”

Natasha Banks, Senior Corporate Relationship Manager at GNAAS, said:

“We’re grateful to have the continued support of Story Homes and receive another generous donation from their golf days.

“We are reliant on charitable donations and need to raise £10.7m a year to remain operational, so this money will enable our critical care teams to continue helping severely ill or injured patients across the North East, Cumbria and the Isle of Man.”

Chris Andrews, Philanthropy & Partnerships Officer at NWAA, said:

“Huge thanks to all at Story Homes for this wonderful contribution to our lifesaving work. So much time and effort goes into making the golf days a success, and we are so grateful to everyone who was involved in the events. Without the likes of Story Homes and those who took part in the golf days, we would not be able to continue providing lifesaving emergency medical intervention across the region. Our pre-hospital care is thanks to our incredible supporters and we are hugely grateful.”
