Roadvert Helps Glasgow City Council To Take Hate Crime Awareness Week Message To Every Street In The City

Roadvert’s fast-changing vehicle graphics are helping to take Glasgow’s message of inclusion and respect to every street in the city during Hate Crime Awareness Week.
Glasgow City Council is one of 180 local authorities which contract Roadvert to supply and fit changeable advertising banners to their refuse vehicles, using its patented Spedian system.
This week, selected council refuse vehicles are displaying positive and impactful messages reinforcing Glasgow’s commitment to being a welcoming city where everyone feels safe, respected and valued.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of hate crime and hate-related harm, while encouraging those affected to report concerns and seek appropriate advice and support.
Craig Fuller, Sales Director at Roadvert, said: “Council waste vehicles provide a powerful and cost-effective way to deliver messages that matter right into the heart of communities. The vehicles work as mobile billboards and the size of the banners enables us to create real impact.
“We have a long-standing relationship with Glasgow City Council and regularly support in delivering effective campaigns directly to residents. Hate Crime Awareness Week is a multi-agency initiative in the city. We are proud to be working with the council and its partners to ensure its success.”

Bryan Scott, Project Officer at Glasgow City Council, said: “Roadvert is an important supplier helping us deliver the messaging for Glasgow Hate Crime Awareness Week across the city.
“We have found the Spedian system to be an effective way of reaching communities in every neighbourhood.
“The interchangeable graphics provide flexibility and value for money, allowing the council to update messaging quickly and use the same vehicles to support a range of campaigns throughout the year.”
Roadvert’s patented Spedian system allows new graphics to be installed within minutes and banners can be reused at a later date.
Earlier this year the company worked with Glasgow City Council and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to deliver the Take Charge awareness campaign, designed to prevent fires being started by batteries and vapes.
