Five star housebuilder, Cruden Homes is preparing to unveil Neukhaven Green, an exceptional collection of new homes in the picturesque fishing village of Pittenweem, with the first properties available to reserve from Thursday 24 September 2026.
The launch will give buyers their first chance to discover the new collection of three, four and five-bedroom homes, with prices in the first release anticipated to start from £365,000. Following feedback from the local community, Cruden is giving buyers living within a KY postcode an exclusive seven-day opportunity to reserve, before sales are opened more widely. The off-plan launch will take place by appointment at The Lindsay Room at Kilconquhar Castle Estate, where buyers can sit down with Cruden’s sales team, explore the first house types being released and find out more about the homes, specification and availability.
Work is already well underway at Neukhaven Green, which will bring 39 new homes to James Street, on the north-eastern edge of Pittenweem.
The development includes 36 traditionally designed and beautifully crafted new homes alongside the careful restoration of three existing properties. The Category C-listed St Margaret’s Farm steading will be converted into two characterful homes, while number 50 James Street will also be refurbished.
Designed to feel at home in Pittenweem and the wider East Neuk, Neukhaven Green takes its inspiration from the area’s distinctive architecture, with traditional details including sash and case windows, render window surrounds and decorative chimneys.
Green space will also play an important part in the development, with a pedestrian-friendly layout, beautiful landscaped open spaces and new pathways connecting into the wider village.
Inside, the homes have been thoughtfully designed to offer a sense of space, comfort and understated luxury, with carefully chosen finishes and specifications that enhance everyday living. Sustainable features include air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging provision. The first homes are expected to be completed in early 2027.
Hazel Davies, Sales and Marketing Director at Cruden Homes, said: “There’s something very special about creating new homes in a place like Pittenweem, so we’re excited to be able to welcome buyers and share more of what we have planned for Neukhaven Green.
“We know there has been a lot of local interest in the development and we’ve listened carefully to feedback from the community. One thing that came through was the importance of giving local people the chance to buy here, so for the first seven days we’re giving those living within a KY postcode exclusive access to reservations.
“We hope that gives people who already know and love this part of Fife a great opportunity to find a home at Neukhaven Green before we open reservations more widely.
“We’ve put a lot of thought into creating homes that feel right for Pittenweem, combining the character and architectural details of the East Neuk with the luxury, space, comfort and energy efficiency people are looking for in a new home. We’re already seeing strong interest, so we’re looking forward to meeting buyers at the launch.”
Appointments will be available throughout the day on Thursday 24 September, with additional dates added due to high demand.
